Bringing together religious leaders, psychologists, and mental health experts, participants outlined the scope of influence and responsibility of each party and determined how to build effective cooperation for the holistic support of individuals and communities. The conversation focused on issues of trust, professional boundaries, and practical tools for assistance.

«Cooperation between the church and the public sector is extremely important today. We are all different, but we are united by our love for Ukraine. By uniting in our desire to help the Ukrainian people, we find effective answers to the challenges of our time. Our common goal is to serve people», said Maksym Ryabukha, emphasizing the importance of partnership in healing the wounds of war.
Father Andriy Nahirnyak, deputy head of the social service department of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, emphasized the importance of inter-sectoral and interfaith cooperation:
«The development of social service requires inter-sectoral and interfaith cooperation. Perhaps we do not always succeed in this, and sometimes we lack resources, because it is often an additional burden. But this is a task that we cannot fail to set for ourselves. Any joint interfaith interaction is a very important testimony to society about values».

The event featured thematic panel discussions and expert presentations. Participants analyzed the regional context and demands, identified the current needs of the clergy, exchanged experiences of ministry in various areas, and discussed the integration of psychological approaches into parish practice.
«We want a lively, open dialogue — so that we not only discuss the challenges of today, but also plan for the future together. It is important to be aware of our path and understand how to integrate this direction into our daily work, moving from isolated activities to systematic programs», said Mariana Kashchak, director of the Ukrainian Education Platform.

During the round table, special attention was paid to the further implementation of the «Balance of Your Ministry» program. In particular, the opening of registration for a new training course for leaders of religious communities was announced. The project aims to raise awareness among clergy in the field of mental health, develop skills for emotional support of communities, and effective work with people experiencing crisis. The program is certified by the Ukrainian Catholic University. This year, representatives of communities from the Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions are invited to participate.

The event confirmed that in times of national trials, cross-sectoral cooperation becomes particularly important. The synergy of spiritual support and professional psychological assistance is not only a response to the crisis, but also a tool for the long-term recovery of society.
Registration for the «Balance of Your Ministry» program. Deadline: March 5.
