As part of the «Obiymy» project, Family-Based Care Support Centers are operating in four regions of Ukraine, where prospective foster parents and current foster parents can receive free counseling, support, and necessary information. «Obiymy» Family-Based Care Support Centers are operating in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions. These are specialized facilities designed to provide comprehensive support to prospective foster parents, as well as to those who are already raising children in family-based care settings.
At the centers, individuals can receive free individual consultations, necessary information, and professional support regarding the establishment and development of family-based care. At the same time, «Obiymy» serves as a platform for collaboration with local specialists – it facilitates the exchange of experiences, coordination of efforts, and strengthening of professional capacities in the field of child rights protection.
The centers’ work has been made possible through close cooperation with child welfare services, social service centers, departments of regional state administrations, and local government bodies. This cross-sectoral approach ensures systematic and high-quality support for families and children in communities.
To improve access to services, a hotline is also available for consultations on alternative forms of family care. You can call: 0 800 332 111.
All calls are free of charge.
The opening of the centers and the implementation of the project were made possible through collaboration with partners – the Globa22 Charitable Foundation, the civil society organizations «Youth of Ukraine» and «Sumy Civic Circle», and the Association of the Ukrainian Peacekeeping School.
The «Response to the Crisis in Ukraine» project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Education Platform Charitable Organization with the support of the International Rescue Committee in Ukraine.
