Resilience for those on the front lines of social protection: Ukrainian Education Platform and The World Orphan Fund sign memorandum of cooperation

Ukrainian Education Platform and The World Orphan Fund have joined forces to systematically support social service professionals from frontline regions. As part of this partnership, a specialized psychological workshop on trauma-informed care and professional burnout prevention was held.

Social workers in frontline areas are the first to bear the brunt of human suffering, working under constant shelling and supporting families who have lost everything. However, in order to systematically help others, they themselves need reliable support and protection from burnout.

Recognizing this urgent need, Ukrainian Education Platform  The World Orphan Fund have joined forces. Their shared values, commitment to creating a sustainable support system, and vision for future development have been formally enshrined—the parties have signed a memorandum of cooperation. This strategic partnership not only formalizes steps already taken but also paves the way for long-term initiatives aimed at strengthening the social protection system in Ukraine.

An important first step in this collaboration was the conduct of specialized training on trauma-informed care and burnout prevention for professionals from frontline regions. This workshop provided participants with effective self-care tools and an opportunity for emotional recovery.

Combining the resources and expertise of both organizations creates a solid foundation for systematic support for those on the front lines of social protection. Addressing the trauma of war within this context is extremely challenging work, and the strategic partnership between Ukrainian Education Platform and The World Orphan Fund is designed to provide professionals with the necessary resources to persevere and continue their vital mission.
